Butts County, Georgia
Butts County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. The 2006 Census Estimate shows a population of 23,561. The county seat is Jackson, Georgia.
History
It was created on December 24, 1825 by the Georgia General Assembly and named the County in honor of Captain Samuel Butts, a militia officer in the Creek War.
