Hart County, Georgia
Hart County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of 2000, the population was 22,997. The 2005 Census Estimate shows a population of 24,036. The county seat is Hartwell, Georgia.

History
It was created December 7, 1853. Of Georgia's 159 counties, Hart County is the only one named after a woman, Nancy Hart. Hartwell is also named for her.
