Lincoln County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. The 2005 Census Estimate shows a population of 8,207. The county seat is Lincolnton.
History
It was created on February 20, 1796. Lincoln County was named after an American patriot, General Benjamin Lincoln, a Revolutionary War hero.
