Lumpkin County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of the 2000 census, the population is 21,016. The 2005 Census Estimate shows a population of 26,705. Its county seat is Dahlonega, Georgia.
History
Lumpkin County was created on December 3, 1832. The county was named for former governor of Georgia Wilson Lumpkin.
