McDuffie County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of 2000, the population was 21,231. The 2005 Census Estimate shows a population of 21,743. The county seat is Thomson, Georgia.
History It was created on October 18, 1870. It is named after the South Carolina governor and senator George McDuffie.
