Pickens County, Georgia
Pickens County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. The population according to the 2005 U.S. Census Bureau estimate is 28,442. The county seat is Jasper.
History
The Georgia General Assembly passed an act on December 5, 1863. Pickens County is named for American Revolutionary War General Andrew Pickens.
