Stephens County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of 2000, the population was 25,435. The 2005 Census Estimate shows a population of 25,060. The county seat is Toccoa, Georgia.
History
Created on August 18, 1905, the County is named after Alexander Stephens, U.S. representative, vice president of the Confederate States of America, and fifty-third governor of Georgia.
